Ingredients: wood betony, St. John’s wort, plantain, gotu kola, calendula, jewelweed, rose, lavender, castor oil, extra virgin olive oil, vitamin e oil, beeswax, shea butter, arrowroot powder, turmeric, lavender and peppermint essential oils.
Wood Betony (Stachys Officinalis) and St. John’s Wort (Hypericum Perforatum) have been prized for centuries in the world of herbalism. Together, they form the foundation of this salve.
Plantain (Plantago Major) is soothing and hydrating, adding moisture to the skin.
Gotu Kola (Centella Asiatica) (also known as centella or cica in the skincare world) is commonly used in topical preparations intended for inflamed, irritated tissues.
Calendula (CalendulaOfficinalis) contains flavonoids and triterpenoids that may help dry, irritated, itchy skin.
Jewelweed (Impatiens Capensis) has been traditionally used for relieving bug bite irritation, and we’ve included here as it is believed to soothe itchiness!
Rose and lavender complement this blend with their gentle floral character and aromatic qualities.
The herbs are infused into a rich base of extra virgin olive oil and castor oil, combined with shea butter, beeswax, and vitamin E to help soften, moisturize, and condition the skin. Arrowroot powder lends a smoother finish, while turmeric adds its distinctive soothing qualities. Lavender and peppermint essential oils complete the formula with a refreshing botanical aroma.
