Ingredients: arnica, white willow bark, lavender, peppermint, castor oil, evoo, beeswax, arrowroot powder, vitamin e oil, shea butter, lavender and peppermint essential oils
Directions: apply to clean, dry skin as needed. Avoid contact with eyes. Patch test highly recommended, especially on children.
Arnica is the most common herb used in topical applications for pain relief. It has anti-inflammatory properties that help to reduce swelling, bruising and pain.
White willow bark contains a compound called salicin, which is key ingredient in the salicylic acid we see in aspirin. It is a natural pain reliever, inflammation reducer, and is even helpful for fever.
Lavender has analgesic (pain relieving) properties, and a soothing effect on both the mind and body. We’ve added it here not only for the lovely scent, but because it’s ability to reduce tension which can commonly trigger headache. It can also promote a healthy night’s sleep!
Peppermint is a strong aromatic that has palliative effects on headache and fever, especially derived from colds or infections. The scent of peppermint is also excellent for helping to settle nausea that can often accompany headache and migraine.
Castor oil is the deepest penetrating carrier oil, and we rely on it in all of our salves to carry our herbs deep into the skin for the highest benefit!
PLEASE NOTE: It is always strongly recommended when trying new topical products to perform at patch skin test. We suggest applying a small amount to the inner arm below the wrist. Wash hands thoroughly and wait a few hours. If any redness, swelling, burning, or itching occurs on the application site discontinue the use of this product. However, some of our products are designed to have a heating or cooling sensation (Soothing Muscle Rub/ Open Up Chest Rub/ Warming Joint Rub) these should be discontinued if anything other than a mild heating or cooling sensation occurs.
