Sweet gum balls, fruits of the sweet gum tree, provide several medicinal benefits. Their sap (storax) and seed pods contain shikimic acid, which is a precursor to the production of oseltamivir phosphate, the active ingredient in Tamiflu, an antiviral drug effective against several influenza viruses. Properties of the resinous sap have proven to be a strong antimicrobial agent against multi drug resistant bacteria such as methicillin resistant bacteria staphylococcus aureus. Historically, sweet gum resin and extracts have also been used for their anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, and wound healing properties. 

Directions: Take 2 droppers 2-3 time a day in an ounce of water or juice at the onset of flu like symptoms 

Warning: Avoid if you have known severe allergies to tree pollen. Not recommended for those who are pregnant, nursing, or under the age of 12.
